Call for Presentations

Two exciting keynote speakers have been engaged for the upcoming 28th Annual Conference of the Montana Gerontology Society.

Call for Presentations - Application (doc)

Cheryl Woodson, MD, of the Woodson Center for Adult Healthcare in Chicago, will open the Wednesday sessions. She will speak on what the health care system needs to do to prepare for the upcoming wave of aging baby boomers.

On Thursday, Jeffrey Goldsmith, Ph.D., of Health Futures, Inc., Charlottesville, VA, will speak on the fate of the baby boomers in the health care system and society as a whole.

The Conference Planning Committee is soliciting presentation proposals for both days, planning to form three tracks that will be presented concurrently.

We encourage presentations from MGS members, their friends and colleagues, and other non-members who wish to share their knowledge, experience, wisdom, and expertise in the field of aging with both professionals and the public.

Presentations are scheduled in 60 minute blocks. Depending on time available and topic, a single presentation could be two hours (two blocks) in length.

Most all areas of aging – physical, medical, emotional, psychosocial, financial, and spiritual - are welcome topics because they are all a part of the “Silver Tsunami,” the coming aging wave of baby boomers. The target audience is primarily professionals in the field of gerontology who may also be caregivers, family members, and seniors. Tracks will be formed around various interests.

Any and ALL presentation ideas in the field of aging are encouraged. If you have a great presentation we would love to have you share it! If you are accepted to present, you may register for the full conference with half of the registration fee waived.
